Message Comments about the plenum pull:
1. Checked current drain from battery to see what "stand-by" drain is when I disconnected the Neg. battery cable...64 ma. at 12.5 VDC. A bit higher than I expected.

2. Plenum chambers and lower plenum intakes sure look dark from carbon/grease build up. No. 6 intake was best looking; Numbers 4 and 2 looked worse (No. 4 has failed fuel injector & No. 2 injector is at 26 ohms...all others read 11.9 ohms).

3. EGR tube openings (where they fit into lower plenum) were very much clogged shut with carbon/hard grease.

4. Reconsidering throttle body by-pass. Be nice to get rid of some of the hoses!!! But I live where it can get cold in winter...not sure how important the feature is for around here?

5. Appreciate all the help I've gotten here on the Forum for this maintenance project! I joined last year because I felt the FSM procedure to replace fuel injectors was seriously lacking in detail...now I am armed with procedures/posts from
Forum members over the last 6 months!

Hope to get the new fuel injectors, FPR, etc. and all air/water/vacuum hoses replaced over the next week. As usual...found some more parts I need to order (been talking to Coz!).

Hopefully I will have a test drive report next week!
Take Care, Jim
